Project in Noryn becomes an example for fish farming development

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the activities of “Fishville Norin” enterprise in Namangan region.
Fish farming has an important role both in strengthening health of the population and ensuring food security. Abundance of fish has a positive effect on the prices of other types of meat, and its farming in domestic conditions brings additional revenue to families.
With this aim the fish sector receives comprehensive support in our country, particularly in districts with rich water resources. Investment and cooperation projects are actively implemented here.
“Fishville Norin” enterprise is implementing a project worth $3 million. On an area over 2 hectares 76 innovation pools are created, of which 40 are already put into operation. Trout is farmed here in a super-intensive mode. In the long term, the plan is to produce 2 thousand tons of product annually and export it for around $5 million.
The project’s special value is that the enterprise trains local residents on fish farming. Thus, 25 families from the Khujakurgonch mahalla, cooperating with the cluster, earn up to 150 million soums per year each. In the future, another 100 families from Naryn and Uchkurgan will be involved in the project. Of the 2 thousand tons of trout, 500 tons will be farmed in households, providing employment for more than 300 people.
The development of the fishing industry has given impetus to related areas. A modern restaurant has been opened at the enterprise, where guests are offered dishes made from fresh fish. This contributes to the development of tourism and the service sector in the region.
The Head of State instructed to identify areas of the country where trout farming is possible and to spread this experience. It is also planned to establish, together with Dutch partners, the production of fish feed and the construction of artificial pools near wells with their distribution among the population.
Today, 34 intensive reservoirs have already been created in Namangan region around reclamation wells based on public-private partnerships. It is noteworthy that the water used for fish farming, enriched with minerals, is then used in agriculture, which increases crop yields. The experience of foreign specialists is also taken into account.
During the visit, the President was presented with a report on the activities of the regional reform headquarters. It was noted that projects worth $1 billion are being implemented in collaboration with entrepreneurs, creating 12 thousand new jobs, generating additional budget revenues of 200 billion soums, and ensuring exports worth $160 million.
Thus, initiatives such as those being implemented in Naryn and Mingbulak serve as an important factor in the development of the regional economy. The population receives ready-made projects and professional training, directly contributing to employment growth.
The President also visited the “Rasulov Gofurjon ugli Bahodir” farm in Naryn district and got acquainted with the cotton harvesting process. A large harvest has been grown here. Drones are used to cultivate the fields, and modern machines are used for harvesting, which allows cotton to be harvested without loss.
