Uzbekistan celebrates Medical Workers Day
Tashkent’s Turkiston Palace hosted a celebration of Medical Workers Day.
The festive event was attended by members of the Senate, deputies of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, representatives of ministries, agencies, public and international organizations, physicians, nurses, professors, teachers, students, cultural and art workers.
The holiday greetings of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to healthcare workers was read.
This year, a group of dedicated workers in the sphere was awarded high state awards for the first time in connection with the holiday, on the basis of the decree of the Head of the state.
At the event, awards were presented by the Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan T. Narbayeva.
As it is noted in the President’s congratulatory message, peace and health are the greatest, truly invaluable good for every person, all of our people. We all well understand that only a healthy person and a healthy nation are capable of great achievements.
In this regard, the reforms in healthcare carried out in the country primarily serve to ensure human interests, strengthen health of citizens, their feelings of satisfaction with life and ongoing transformations.
At the event, it was noted that reforms aimed at strengthening the health of people will continue in the future.
The Minister of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan A. Shadmanov congratulated colleagues on the holiday.
A concert was held with participation of famous artists.
The event was attended by Advisor to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan A. Abduvakhitov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Chairman of the Women’s Committee of the country E. Basitkhanova.
